Replacing a twist grip throttle

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a Brompton Nano conversion that uses a twist grip throttle. Unfortunately despite removing the fierce throttle close spring I find the throttle uncomfortable to ride with and would like to change it to push button power selector.

I believe that my present throttle is made by Wuxing ($9.50), it includes an on/off switch, three battery state LEDs and the twist throttle. Ii is connected to the controller using six wires:

1) Red +5volts from controller

2) Black ground

3) White 0-5volts depending on throttle position

4) Green battery voltage (+36v) for monitoring purposes

5) Brown +ve to on/off switch

6) Yellow +ve from on/off switch

Does anyone know of a push button replacement switch that includes an on/off and battery monitoring that I can buy before I take a hacksaw to my present throttle? Also if I go DIY am I correct in thinking that I just need to apply a voltage to the white lead in the range of 0-5volts to get a fixed output.

Thanks

Simon
