Hey guys,

Just bought Aldi 20v 5ah/40v 2.5ah battery. £24.99 with 2 years warranty. Perfect to take on airplanes (90wh). Works out to £2.50 per cell if you're harvesting. These costs £30 before covid!

Im a bit confused on how to wire 1x 40v 2.5ah battery to the controller like this guy did:

From what i can see, wiring b1- to b1+ gives you 20v, and b2- to b2+ gives you 20v as well, watch from 47:50 -

So im guessing i need to wire b2- to b1+. Then for the controller it will be b1- and b2+ for 40v 2.5ah? Would 10s1p be too harsh on the cells? Better use 2x batteries in parallel or 2x batteries in series for 40v 5ah?

Looks like they dont use Samsung or LG cells anymore. They use Lixell. Cant seem to find any info on them. Maybe I'll try opening up another battery. Guess I'll just have to try it out on my ebike.
