I tried it out for the first time today, and I am happy to report that most drivers did seem to allow me more room than usual. I've fixed it to my rear rack... the only issue I have with this particular incarnation of the idea, is that it isn't resistant enough to wind; doesn't maintain a right angle to the frame. I may make a thin rubber washer using old inner tube, because using a small hose clamp to increase pressure didn't work for that, but it did make the lollipop clamp which attaches to the bike rack secure enough to keep it horizontal . Perhaps I can also roughen that lollipop end at the clamping point with sandpaper, to add a bit of friction, or something. But it's a small fixable niggle. Regards Andy Because that small hose clamp holds the lollipop so rigidly horizontal, I have drilled through and tightly ziptied an otherwise useless flashy mount and flashy to it. This flashy was formerly affixed to my seatpost, before the other part of it's mount broke. It might even stay on, we'll see. It's a light light, therefore the lollipop may remain horizontal in use. October 15, 20223 yr I'm pleased to report that the flasher stayed on, even though it was raining for 10 miles last night. The lollipp stayed horizontal and the rubber small washer I made out of old inner tube for the horizontally swivelling end, kept it solidly outward pointing. What's made me even happier is, the flasher addon has made this Oxford Lollipop even more effective! During the rush hour 10 mile trek, only two cars passed too close, which is a vast improvement. They allowed me much more space passing, than when the lollipop was without flasher, although many did swerve too close to the front of my bike afterwards.
