May 15, 20232 yr I have a 2019 Halfords Carerra E-Vengeance Junior. AFAIK it has the same specs as the regular Carerra Vengeance Ebike only on a 14" frame. It's currently knackered- the pedal cadence sensor is intermittent to the point of barely functioning, and then recently someone stole the LCD display from it. This got me thinking- as it would probably cost of lot of money and time to get it working again, would it be better / easier / achievable to convert it from a pedal assist a thumb throttle? I figure this way would be easier, but does anyone have any advice?
May 15, 20232 yr The pedal sensor should be easy to fix, and won't cost much, if anything at all. It'll be a lot more expensive to fit a throttle, as you'll probably need a new controller.
May 17, 20232 yr Author Thanks that's good to know. The followup question then is- does anyone know where I can get a new display? Either the Suntour HESC below or compatible?
