June 12, 20232 yr Hi, Does anyone in the Midlands have a working frame attached Yamaha battery from 2015/16 that I can use to quickly check my bike. Bike turns on then off and I don't know if its the battery or motor that's the problem. Thanks

June 12, 20232 yr Have you been through the troubleshooting that is in the manual (many copies online). No way would I put my battery on a suspect motor to prove which part is faulty when I could end up with a battery locked out with a fault which the motor has caused.

June 13, 20232 yr I would reiterate chris_n comment above that it would be very unwisw to attacj a healthy battery to your bike as the fault could be transferred to the good battery and effectively brick it.
