June 30, 20232 yr Is it possible to switch battery and/or controller for my swytch bike pro 2nd gen? The reason I need a change is that the connector from my controller to my battery melted yesterday while biking and swytch customer service wont send me a new controller, they only want to sell me a new conversion kit. I want to know if anyone has ever swithced to another controller from a swytch bike, and If they can walk me through the process. I am not very electrically inclined, so any clear steps would help. Thank you very much for the help!
June 30, 20232 yr That looks like it wasn't soldered properly, so it heated up. That's bad of Swytch not to replace it. You can use any controller and any battery. they're all pretty standard parts. The work to change something is going to be a lot more than re-soldering that connector. I don't think anything is broken apart from the joint. Just solder it back together and see if it works.

Thanks for the help!
