Revos bike motor

Featured Replies

I've had a Revos motor for 3.5 years. had some problems but have been pleased with its assistance. Recently when cycling the motor stopped, assume battery flat. Checked with second fully charged battery but still no result. PAS no signal whether peddling forward or backward. Checked plug connection between controller and motor secure.

Revos has ceased trading. I have tried emailing requesting details of components and wiring diagrams. No response though in the past were helpful.

I have gained access to the controller in the base of the battery holder. No signs of a broken wire though it appears any components are sealed in what appears to be sealing wax. There is a capacitor and 4 spikes of wire protruding from the sealing wax.

Dare I dissolve sealing wax to expose components?

Thanks for any reply!

"PAS no signal whether peddling forward". If you mean no indication on the display it's possible that reviving the PAS sensor (or signal) will do the trick. Try repositioning the sensor in case it's been bumped out of alignment etc. Check (or post a photo of) its plug to see whether you could swap in another sensor. Best refrain from giving the controller a hard time until you're sure it's a parrot. :)
