October 4, 2025Oct 4 I have just purchased a Cube Katmandu exc 750 with the Boch performance CX Gen4 motor. Can any one tell me if I can fit a connect module to this module or do I need another motor cover. Thanks.

Can any one tell me if I can fit a connect module to this module or do I need another motor cover. Thanks. There's a section on the Bosch website that might help. https://help.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/ebw-bcm/asset-asf-01032 Common sense tells me that (1) a new motor cover would be a dead giveaway that the system is fitted, which either protects the bike, or gets the module ripped out quickly by a thief! And (2) Performance CX gen4 must be the Smart system, which the module requires. So I think it is compatible and no new cover needed. Bosch do recommend dealer installation as 'technical knowledge of the motor' is required, but the website is not specific about what that means.
