This Electromagnetic Bike Can Go 100km/h

The concept of electromagnetic wheel is interesting but would be easily picked up by race inspector scanners. I reckon the best place to hide the motor and battery is inside the rear hub.

Anything electrical would be picked up because it has magnetism in it, and it would produce a heat signature. That leaves pressure and springs as a way of storing energy.

Even with electrical assistance, the problem is that you have to carry the extra weight as a penalty all day for against the benefit of some assistance for a short time. I know they've cheated by swapping bikes at key points in the race, and they also cheat by loading up with water for the downhill sections, then chuck it for the uphill parts. That's a massive advantage for the light riders, who don't have to work against high mass when going uphill, and why light riders always win the sections with lots of climbs.
