Tenways or Estarli... for regular 15 mile commute?

Featured Replies

@TenwaysEBike or @Estarli_uk ... for regular 8mile commute? Ultimate reliability, comfort and quality needed.

Step through, hub gear, and belt-drive desired.

I have been using a Raleigh Motus for 3 years, it's good, but I pang for a belt drive. I am cautious because the bike would be used relied on daily, rain or shine for a 2x8 mile commute. Alas, nearest seller is Nottingham which is a stretch. I would want something that really was up to the job. 3000m/year.

Do you think the e28x is progressive investment after the Motus? Where's the nearest to LE7 for a year ride?

Either will probably work, and your one way journey is short enough that you can use higher assistance levels to keep effort down in headwinds etc. given the single speed.

Not sure about the Bafang two speed. More to go wrong and perhaps too much automation about the shifting.

Both will be very different to the Motus.

Much to ponder. Not sure if the change will be progress. The only gripe with the Motus is it's heavy.

As soon as an ebike is not heavy, there are compromises in other directions!

Newer bikes tend to have larger batteries which means higher assistance can be used to overcome weight. My original 400Wh seems like a bad joke these days!
