I purchased the Kalkoff Pro-connect S in 2009 for £2815 from 50 cycles.

It's been an absolute wonderful bike. And I've ridden around about 6000 to 7000 miles on it.

I'm on my second battery

• Capacity: 23200 mAh

• Voltage: 25.2 V

• Energy: 584.64 Wh

However yesterday the drive stopped.

I can hear the motor running, but there is no drive to the sprocket.

and I haven't been brave enough to pull it to pieces.

As there's that many miles on the motor I was wondering whether it will be sensible to put a new one on. And are they are still for sale.

Question

1) Repare or replace?

2) Can you buy new motors and where from?

3) Is it worth uprating the system to a 36 volt system?

4) Should I buy a new cycle
