March 2, 201115 yr I contacted A2B regarding the new 2011 bike out in May. After chatting on the phone i was sent the photo for the latest bike and the spec upgrades. The head office for this company is in the UK. All technical info and spares are held in the UK. The new bike will be more expensive approx £2300 gulp! The bike looks great. Please see an outline of the major differences below: 1. Digital controller (much smoother power delivery to the motor) + (ability to modify the controller) 2. Integrated back-lit display 3. Integrated lighting system wired into the battery As mentioned, contrary to what you’ve been told, the bikes is just as powerful as the previous model. The difference being that the digital power output makes the whole thing much smoother. Please note that the image shows a mirror mounted to the bike, this comes in the box and it is optional whether you fit it to the bike. I hope this is everything, please get in touch if I can help further
March 7, 201115 yr Thanks Basingstoke! May it is then. I'm curious about the programmable controller. Sounds interesting. Did you get any more info on that? Very cool. Dennis
March 7, 201115 yr I'm interested to know what this digital power output is as all current BLDC motors are controlled using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)...digital switching of a DC supply, the switching being controlled by a chip designed for the specific purpose, IE an ASIC (Application Specific IC)
