Controller removed from crank motor. 29V enters controller 0V comes out. On/off head (handlebar) switch now not lighting up & has 8 multicoloured wires. Anyone know which 2 colours are the power on/off?

Hi Have you installed one of his hack dingles? If so is true you have charge the battery only through the dongle? Sounds really inconvenient if you do.

Ebikebatteries.co.uk recommended. BMS not replaced. Battery shows 29V on voltmeter both off bike & on bike at first connector ie before entering motor housing which contains controller.

9yr old Gepida Berig with Yamaha crank motor & re-celled battery shows 29.2V on bike but head control switch on handle bar shows 4 full red lights for 1 second & then reverts to one light only flashing ie no power. Cables look undamaged & connectors are as if new. Any suggestions to rectify...

Has anybody had experience of removing the controller from inside the central motor casing of a 9yr old model of Gepida Berig? New battery, showing 29.2V, is showing 4 red lights ie full strength for 1 second & then reverts to lowest strength number one flashing hence power assist not kicking in.

I wonder how I could establish whether the electric motor rating would accommodate an increased voltage/amperage. I'd be a bit concerned if I upped to 36v from 24v then smelt the motor burning out. Have you witnessed this type of upgrade?
