Hello from germany - here to make Nyon-Users happy(er) :)

The only data I am worried about is the personal details that Bosch force us to enter for the routing and performance functions ie home location, current location and geographical driving habits and other identifying details, which could be abused. I will probably give your software a try when...

Hello from germany - here to make Nyon-Users happy(er) :)

This looks good to me. I have been trying to find a way of getting my data out of Bosch's website and taking control of the information which Bosch stole from me. I far prefer the idea of a PC program rather than an app, so I can store the data locally and securely. I would like to be able to...

Bosch Nyon Issues?. New substantial update: Jan 2015

I thought I would offer a late reply as I only read this forum occasionally, but after owning a Haibike with Nyon for about 2 years now I thought I would update my thoughts on Nyon. I does offer "offroad mapping", but the UK version is totally unusable and after may updates it still does random...

    Bosch Motor without Display

That is what I wanted to know Martin. It may be worth spelling this out and the plug compatibility bit on your website, so potential purchasers know they can just buy an Intuvia as a backup.

    Bosch Motor without Display

When I looked at the website there was no info on ebike support. Now it mentions support for Bosch systems, but there is still so little detail that I don't know what I would be signing up to. In theory this should be exactly what many of us are looking for, but it may end up be just be another...

    Bosch Motor without Display

I am having difficulties replying to the correct items today and strange things are happening to my posts but I will try again. I was thinking of getting an Intuvia as a backup, but was putoff by the Bosch system of making it as awkward as possible for users to do anything for themselves. I was...

    Bosch Motor without Display

Yes I think that was the one I saw. It looked very interesting, but looked like there was a long way to go. I thought about contacting them myself, but some of the crowdfunding stuff is just putting your time and money into the unknown. I would be interested in any further infoarmation you have...

    schwalbe energizer life tyres

The knobbly tyres look worth a try. They should be an improvement on my lightweight Hans Dampfs. I've never really understood why there are so may more puncture resistant road tyres than offroad.

    Bosch Nyon tuning dongle

Even if the torque and rpm values are not exceeded this does not mean the motor cannot overheat. You seem to think the motors are indestructible, I congratulate you on your faith. I have had at least 2 occasions where my bike (undongled) has come to a halt on very steep hills at low speed in...

    Researching for leccie bike

look for electricmountainbikes.com He will give you lots of options, but the price may still be a killer. He would also convert existing bikes, but in the long run this may not be the best option.

    Bosch Motor without Display

I am looking at future options for when I bin my Nyon display. As Bosch are so awkward about end users obtaining spare parts, instead of getting hold of an Intuvia has anyone heard of running a Bosch system without a display at all? As I have a Garmin Edge system that actually works I don't...

    schwalbe energizer life tyres

Any suggestions for puncture resistant MTB tyres? (650B) I don't want to use the goo option until I have fully tested reinforced tyres with my heavy downhill tubes.

    Researching for leccie bike

It is highly unlikely you will get a suitable saddle as standard, but a good dealer should swap it for you. You don't get much for £1000 in ebikes, or even non-bikes. Good folding ebikes are rare - many of the popular folding non-e bikes have weak frames and failures are common. If you search...

    Brake noise

I agree with the comment about the Bosch lock. It is a total waste of time. Mine has never worked properly - it is a pain to get a key in. I would like to remove it and just leave a simple latch. Bosch don't understand, or care about, bikes - the sooner they get serious competition the better. I...

    bosch nyon online portal

I have noticed the same. It is always low. Have you tried the routing with the German map that always comes up? I have never managed to get it to accept a route on the portal, even with just a start and finish. It does not like Firefox. The map is pretty unusable on the bike anyway.

    Bosch Nyon tuning dongle

I don't have a dongle, but it seems perfectly possible to me that a Nyon has all the information necessary from sensors and GPS to infer that there is a speed discrepancy that could be down to a tuning device and the motor is behaving unusually. I don't know enough about the data stored in the...

Haibike amt pro. First impressions? ;)

I complely agree with the ripoff prices in Uk compared with Germany. I considered a trip abroad to bring a bike back, but thought I would give the local dealer a chance, but he blew it. If we don't get the service from a lot of dealers here they don't deserve the sales.
