    of course it's only 5ah - what was i thinking :confused: Is balance everything? from what i read here many people don't even use a BMS and have no problems.

    Well thanks for all the help, i saw it had been read many times;) Turns out that what I thought was medium power was in fact my own legs, the pedelec sensor had been knocked out. It proves what we already know, ebikes make you fitter without the drama. rob

    Interesting idea, I am not 100 percent sure but you would need a motor designed for such a varied output, I think a crank motor would do what you want. From what I understand the controller doesnt limit the speed, its the overall ratios of volts, internal gearing (rpm) and wheel size

    I'll keep an eye out for you Trevor, most likely on the way home, I ride towards Sunbury. How is the kit? would be good to stop and exchange rides to see how a different bike feels.
