Just seen an Orbea Katu 3 speed with 400 w Bosch battery for £1000. Retail at £1800 I think. Bike has 1000 miles on it. Dealer will change sprocket and chain. Any views on this bike? Is 1000 mile second hand bike risky. Had a 20 ride and quite liked it. Appreciate any views

I assume that I (dealer) will have to service bike. My main point is are there any brands/makes of bikes that are solidly reliable and have longevity. Maybe I'm better off getting a cheaper bike ie woosh Rio or wisper 705se no disrespect and replace it with another similar price bike every 3...

Thanks all. Some good points. As I'm out of warranty I will stick with bike and load on some miles. If motor goes will just have to swallow a new motor which I believe is £600? I have had the latest software updates so don't know if that will prevent motor failure? Hope it does make a difference...
