    Wanted - Bafang BPM2 36V @ ~250RPM

Thank you d8veh, if you find somethine of use then I can always order heavy spokes with my other BMSBattery items (brake levers, torque arms etc), I've never had shipping from bmsbattery without a motor in rim - hopefully the price is more sensible...

    Wanted - Bafang BPM2 36V @ ~250RPM

Thanks cwah, I am looking for a slightly slower wind as I'm hoping to make a slow moped for my commute and so don't plan to pedal... My 345wind BPM doesn't like starting from a stop much at all so I thought I'd drop the top speed some. Thanks though :)

    Wanted - Bafang BPM2 36V @ ~250RPM

Sorry i missed those important points d8veh, I'd like a rear drive 500w. I've been concentrating so much on the wind and voltage/power requirements that I forgot the basics - like which end the motor is going on!

Hi All, As the title states I was hoping to find a Bafang BPM2 36V @ ~250RPM winding that someone might have spare. If nothing crops up then i'll just have to stump up for the shipping from China! Thanks, John

New Light runs direct from battery.

I ordered a couple of these and run a 3x cree XML beast from 1 of them  Stepdown Converter Please note that the heatsinks get warm, and I therefore think these units will last longer than the lyen ones which appear to use the same chip without heatsinks (please correct me if I'm wrong)

RC Lipo - anyone making it easy ?

ha ha, as Old_Dave said - LIPO is much more fun! But in order to benefit most you will need a new controller - or to reprogram your old one. Also a 250W motor may not draw enough power to make the most of the expensive batteries that you are ordering. My 350W 8fun BPM motor is much improved...

RC Lipo - anyone making it easy ?

I also have an icecube57 built harness. It wasn't cheap - I asked for a harness to to allow 18s3p to allow me to run my 6 lipo bricks in either 18s2p or 12s3p - a lot of connections meant an expensive harness, but the job is neater than I would have managed. This winter I upgraded to lipo, I...

Winter commuting by electric bike - share your experiences

Last year I went go-karting during the Christmas holidays. My hands felt completley frozen after the first race when just wearing the standard fire safe gloves that the kart centre issue you. The staff suggested that for the next race I try latex / plastic surgical style gloves underneath -...

    New battery purchase questions...

I shouldn't worry too much about the delays with BMSbattery. They took two or three weeks to produce my battery - apparently they order them in individually and then they run a few charge / discharge cycles through the battery to try and accertain that the cells inside are all good before the...

    iPhone app - Runkeeper

I have found the runkeeper app to be as accurate as I need, particularly when at 20mph ;-) If fact reviewing any of my cycles (logged on an iphone) shows sufficient accuracy to see where I have followed the contours of small roundabouts! http://runkeeper.com/user/johnamon/activity/49811213

    iPhone app - Runkeeper

I record most of my cycles via this app. It's web interface is great for showing friends & family routes that you have cycled. John Amon, Aberdeen, UK | RunKeeper

    E-cat: Fantastic new energy source.

I won't be satisfied until I'm running a Mr Fusion ;-) P.S. The foreign oil bit isn't a political statement, I just thought it added to the joke when I found it on google image search.....

    Waterproofing with Blu Tak...

Thanks Frank, After the heatshrink I'm going to pack out the connections in blu-tack - wrap the blu-tack covered connections with a piece of old tyre and cable tie the gunged arrangement closed. I hope the connections don't get too warm for the Blu-Tack, we'll have to see how it goes!! Thanks...

    Waterproofing with Blu Tak...

Hi all, This is my first post here - apologies for how daft this question may be!! I have just installed a BMSBattery kit to a nice and light 1990's specialized hardrock. Despite no instructions being included, with a bit of help from the guys at BMS I got the kit installed in less than...
