A little help needed - KTM Macina Race with Nyon

Hi All,

Been a while since I've been here and even longer since I've been on the bike.

So I have a 2015 KTM Macina Race GPS 27+, long name for an ebike... have used it since October 2015.

Computer says its done 73.3 KM

Looking at the Bosch connect website there is a lot of updates to be done, but it also mentions checking the software version as anything before 1.5 can hang the unit. Is that still the case?

Also, is there a way of checking total battery charges..

Total number of charges shows up on the update when dealer plugs it in. Or at least it did with mine..

My Bosch bike dates from 2013, I've never had an update on it.

If it's only done 73km probably only 1 or 2 charges

If you want to do the updates and get a print out of the data on the battery, yes I'm afraid you'll need to take it to a dealer.

Or you can do as Artsu has, and just ride, smile, charge, ride, smile, charge etc etc etc. and worry about the updates / data if and when its needed, which might be never.

if it is not broke dont try to fix it no update since 2014 when i bought my bike.

I think the OP was worried about bricking the Nyon.. (bosch connect is Nyon I believe)

I guess that is the best advice.. I just wondered if i needed to update and get any new features.

and yes Gubbins, I was worried about bricking it by updating the software beyond the hardware level... but as everyone has said. Ride and enjoy
