Carrera electric bike motor problems

Hi....had my bike for 18 months and had the battery blackout problems which I fix by rebooting etc. Recently had "e42" code on the controller and no power. Motor vibrates and sounds rough just before it cuts out. Halfords have fixed it (pushing connector closer in) but I'm not sure they know the true cause. I'm just worried as the motor will be out of warranty in 6 months. Anyone had a similar problem?

That's normal if you don't insert the connector all the way. Are you saying that it's still vibrating after they fixed it or are you just worried that it was something else?

Thanks for replying. When the motor is working there's a tinny sound as well as the normal whirring noise of the motor. Nothing like the grating before it conked out and got the error code.
