I picked up this Adult size chopper off ebay from a lovely old chap called Les who built it for fun and its has got a 500 watt cyclone motor fitted that runs off 2 x 12 volt 12 amp lead acid batteries and I gets about 15 mph full speed which is a bit poor and maybe the small wheels dont help as its got 24" front and 20" rear wheels.
Its got a Single speed drive train........But........ closer inspection of the photos will show a deraillier hanger already fitted in the chain tugs so you could convert it to a 3 speed (with the room available) with a 3 speed freewheel..and would this increse top speed or hill climbing or is it not worth fitting?
It come swith 2 x 12 volt 12 amp lead acid batteries and if I swopped them for something like 2 x 12 volt 20 amp lead acid again would I get more miles or do I need a lifepo4?
