Cost of replacement battery for Bionx

Has anyone actually replaced a battery on a bionx system and if so what was the cost. In particular has anyone replced one on a Trek/Bionx bike? I have seen a Trek Valencia Plus at a very competetive price but some of the earlier Bionx threads seem to have the battery prices out of kilter with the competition.

Looks like £774.99 through Bionx (looks like one of their cheapest batteries!) - perhaps Trek do a discount. I notice 50 Cycles don't quote for batteries. Probably the biggest reason Bionx are not a big seller (despite the discount on ready made bikes over kits).

The last time i asked the replacement battery was £450. As i said before i think Trek heavily either cut margins or subsidise it. You add up the sum of the parts even at American prices you could not build it for anywhere near the cost Trek selll it for.
