there are no parts for giant Yamaha motors only bearings if they are the same size as standard Yamaha motors.


you could try them and see if you have any other options but i doubt it bar a new motor.

a new motor wont be cheap either if you can find one.

Thanks mate, maybe I'll email Yamaha when I'm back off holiday with the serial number and see if they can offer any help.

Sureky the obvious is a Yamaha dealer with diagnostics ?

no he needs a giant dealer as they use can bus programming as make there own batts bms controllers and displays.

even if that Yamaha controller fits it wont work becose it uses uart programming :rolleyes:

Good point SW , forgot about the Giant connection.
Best put in the garden to use as a trellis and buy a nice generic hub bike, much better for spares and reliability.
One day all bikes will be hub again as the dodgy mid drive closed system bikes will have had their day :p.

the yamaha motors were made to be serviced as why peter can get all the parts for them, giant took that motor and made it unfixable as wont sell the parts.

and there all the same as wont even sell bearings as all have to get custom made and 1000 min order.
