Grinding noise and feel - haibike sduro

Hi all,

I have a haibaike sduro cross 4.0 2017. Yamaha motor. I have only had it about a month and use it most week days for commuting to work. On the way home from work Friday, i noticed it seemed to be a little harder to pedal and i had a strange clicking/metalic sound as i pushed down on the right pedal.
When i turn the pedals with the motor off there appears to be a slight grinding/ whirring noise and im sure it seems more dificult to turn the crank. Do you think there could be somrthing wrong with the yamaha motor?

Any advice would be appreciated

if you dont get any error codes then will have to take it back to the dealers for them to test it.
