Afraid that I can't help you SW. :( You will either need to take the number from the two bearings or measure them.

As an aside, check that your seat post is tight, and also the handlebar clamps. Noise can be a real pig to track down, and often doesn't come from where you might think.

i have lubed the seat post the clamp and the 4 points under the saddle the two half of the stem has lube and all the stem bolts, put fresh lube on the front axle and checked all bolts and nothing is loose front to rear.

i can now feel a tiny bit of play in the head set pushing it against a brick wall so i really cant think what else it could be tbh or some crud has got inside the head set.

ill give it a strip down tomoz and give it all a clean and see how it goes ;)

SW, a more accurate way to check headset bearing adjustment, is to position the front wheel against a wall, and gentle push forward on the top tube. The method suggested by Dave, doesn't remove the free play/feel transmitted from brake pad movement, and in the case of your bike, any movement that the fully floating discs might have.
The bits for adjustment illustrated on this link.
