Hey guys,

I've recently bought a NewGen 345: https://www.newgenbikes.com/product-page/the-345, well I bought the bike in June but received it recently, bike is lovely, great build quality and all but really lacking power. I've found that I can upgrade the controller from the current 15A to a 22A and should be able to get 20mph+ from it but if I want to bring the bike up to the same power level as the Super73 ZX then I would need a 48v battery as well. Thing is, I got the bike discounted because of the long wait meaning I paid roughly £2000, the Super 73 ZX: https://www.fullycharged.com/Super73-ZX is £2499 so already a bigger investment but I would get the speeds of up to 28mph which I want.

Here's where I'm struggling to decide what to do, basically NewGen have offered me a refund because they promised me a consistent 20mph and failed to inform me when they changed the controller last minute which now prevents the bike hitting 20, so I've now got the choice to take the refund and get the Super 73 zx but when comparing both bikes I notice that mine has hydraulic brakes, something owners of the ZX suggest is an essential upgrade, I also have front suspension which doesn't come with the zx. Do I keep my NewGen and mod it to get to the same power level as the zx or take the refund and buy the zx and upgrade it over time?
