Hello all. Thank for allowing me to join. 80 years old at my next birthday and a keen cyclist. Done Coast to Coast and LE to JOG. Always had bicycles in my life. I am thinking the time is fast approaching when I require some assistance. Started looking at E Bikes and hope this forum will have answers to my questions. Thanks again for letting me in.

Well done and good luck.
Your first decision will be whether you want an e-bike that is like a 'real' bike with a little bit of assistance,
or a bike that can do most of the work when you want it, but won't be as light or feel quite as you are used to.

If your current bikes are suitable you may be best off with a conversion kit.

It'd help if you give a bit more idea of how you expect to ride it, what sort of distances and what sort of hills.

Welcome.
I suggest step through frame and DIY conversion. Nothing better than an opportunity to work on your bike during long winter evenings.
