Hey, apologies for bringing a dress thread back to life... I had the same issue as op... Took the display of today and noticed the purple wire in the pic has broken. Does anyone know what this wire does and had anyone got it arm a schematic of the display? Thanks

I haven't thought about the BMS... That's interesting. I have checked the voltage of the battery at the connectors though and it's a healthy 52v whilst the display is saying the battery is dead... When I say I've probably voided the warranty I mean I took a file and angle grinder to the motor...

I'm not sure if it is still under warranty. How long do they last? Actually it was you I bought the motor from but I didn't consider the warranty as I had to file the living daylights out of the motor casing to get it to fit (flanged bottom bracket) so assumed I would have voided the warranty...

Sweet, so for my 48v battery I need a constant 54.4v? I have been looking at mppt buck boost controllers. So rather than having more panels you have a controller that jumps up the voltage... As well as charge controlling. That said maybe I should just use a buck booster with current 12v set up??
