"Electric, That's Cheating!"
If anyone tells me I'm cheating whilst riding my steed, I promptly dismount, walk up to them in a calm fashion, and beat them repeatedly around the head with my battery until they collapse in a life-less heap on the road. I then lower my bottom onto their face and break wind in their face. That usually does the trick to be honest.

Ezee battery question
Why would it be in the dark? When my ford Sierra kept blowing fuses in the 80's I fixed it with a paperclip inbetween the fuse contacts. Worked a treat.

Two motors?
Are we not overlooking the point? If you have two motors you can out run the plod, and never get caught......he he.

Road Safety...arrghhh
- What is Primary Safety?
I reckon if I rode along in a tinkerbell outfit Every car on the road would give me plenty of room......infact I might try it tomorrow.- The Best Electric Bike????
Yep you got it Flecc, then eventually we will be left with the most popular. And it's just a bit of fun guys before anyone gets upset.- What is Primary Safety?
No you're not, looks like I'm completely out of date and wrong on this one. They used to be illegal. But not now by the looks of it. I light my bike up like a xmas tree. As tesco say, every little helps.- Warning to Wisper 905SE owners - Design Flaw
I'd plug that hole with something, you don't want rain getting in there.- The Best Electric Bike????
I'll start off with my opinion Powerbyke-10 Giant-10 Ezee-10 Kalkhoff-11 * for being German built and pretty Powacycle-10 Wisper-9 * for looking a bit ugly in my opinion Urban mover-10 Gazelle-10 Sparta-10- The Best Electric Bike????
Ok so here's a little game to play, if you're not all too busy arguing about helmets, lights, what to wear, bike names, zip ties and what car each other drives.... I've listed what I can think of as the most popular E-bikes. Now some aren't on here, I know, but these are (as far as I can think) the big players over here. Each person gets 2 points. One to give to your favourite, one to take from your least favourite. Each brand starts off with ten points. Each person can only post and give/take points once. At the end, theoretically you will be left with the most popular? To give/take your points simply copy paste the list below, and alter your 2 points. NO CHEATING! And it would be nice if everyone gives a SHORT reason for there selection. It is an opinion so you can't be wrong, it could be function, price, performance or simply how pretty it looks. Cheap ponchos and waterproof jackets won't help atall. Probably make it worse. You need good quality breathable gear. Try wearing a base layer underneath (Approx £10-15), this will wick away sweat as it forms on you, keeping your temperature normal and you dry. Then if its windy or cold a thin windproof. Again make sure its breathable. (£35 ish upwards). Finally get a breathable jacket. Dont skimp and get a cheapo Aldi job. It'll be like wrapping yourself in cling film and sitting in a sauna. Get one thats at least £40, make sure it's breathable, and if poss has ventilation zip by your pits. Very usefull. Using just these 3 thin layers(plus padded shorts and a breathable waterproof overtrouser) I managed to survive long commutes all year round for 3 years. Well worth the money, and really noticeable compared to my jeans and jumper I was wearing before!- What is Primary Safety?
Are you actually saying that you are genuinely SURPRISED that motorists give you more room when you have lights fitted? Who'd have thought eh......One possibility, now I may be being a bit radical here......is that they can see you better? Just a thought. Oh and for the record the flashing ones one their own are illegal. They are only legal when accompanied by a standard rear light also. I personally think the flashing ones are better, just passing on information.- Warning to Wisper 905SE owners - Design Flaw
Zip tie the cable? Also what's supposed to me in the hole next to it? Possibly a cable guide? Have you checked that something hasn't fallen out in the box?- What is Primary Safety?
Hmmmmm I like the hoody theory, but I much prefer to drive straight at them, after all, they should be wearing pedestrian helmets...... seriously though I might give the avoiding eye contact a go tomorrow.......I can see your logic- What is Primary Safety?
Flecc I shall now refer to you as super-flecc, as you are clearly that much better than everyone else at riding that you will never have an accident This is just like what came first, the chicken or the egg? I mean ok, its obviously better to not have an accident(incident, whatever you like to call it) in the first place, but seriously no one can guarantee that. So then is it better to prepare for the accident if the worst happens? I think the answer is both. There's no reason why you should have to pick?!?!?There doesn't have to be a primary or secondary. Also, please can you tell me super-flecc what you would do in this particular situation to avoid this acci-incident..... Super-flecc is cycling down a cyclepath, off the main road, during busy traffic, his sonar is switched on, vehicle speed sensors are activated, when all of a sudden a driver looses control and skids off the road onto the path from behind. Now god forbid this ever happened, but how would your super-abilities be able to stop you getting hit? Im not having a dig here, I seriously want to know, as there is clearly something you are doing that no one else is capable of here. - What is Primary Safety?
