Have they tried to make it look like a Powabyke?

My 'senior citizen' cyclist husband has had a 'run in' with this rather crazy 'officiousness'. It was a nasty damp drizzly sort of day too, with at least three people on the prom. (apart from the 'speed-trappers' and himself.) I thought he was pulling my leg at first.

Quite a jolly surprise for the car owner as well.

Peering knowledgeably at the Powabyke tyres this morning, (my husband usually deals with such things for me but he is away for a day or two) I was amazed to discover that the recommended pressure (on the tyre itself) was 65psi. :eek: Surely not! I am scared to try to blow them up to...

I haven't been able to cycle for a wee while now--but yesterday I put the battery on charge--and today me and the Powabyke went for a little trundle. We didn't go very far and I didn't do much pedalling but it was SO nice to be back in at least ONE sort of saddle--but I shan't be back on the...

So if you should get siezed by an overwhelming desire to knock down a cyclist, make sure it is one that is not wearing a helmet and then your defence council can claim that it was not your fault at all.

Strewth! There is no mention in the accompanying 'burble' that it is gold-plated or diamond studied. I was looking at bike helmets t'other day--but I couldn't quite bring myself to buy. Especially as, at the moment, I am unable to ride. (Temporarily I hope)

What a lovely blithe fun video that is. Quite how the camera person was in the right places at the right times beats me. :o I love the folks at the end, all peering over the edge at the flying bike. And what a splendidly 'trained' bicycle. Does it have special suspension. Or does HE?

And such are the variables in life that one mans 'gentle slope' is another mans (or womans) 'hill climb'. ;) My husband (who is even older than I am) can cycle (push bike) up hills at far greater speeds than the Powabyke at full blast and I can achieve. I am happy if I can 'make it'...

My especial favourite (so far anyway) is definitely the Dutch Canal. Can e-bikes (and e-bikers) SWIM?
