Product Recall for Cowboy E Bike Model C4 ST (Edition MR) presenting a serious risk of injuries.

I dont know if I really trust that frame design. I think it needs to be well made to make up for having no extra/cross bar.

    TSDZ2 Chainring removal

I changed the chainring by just opening the 5 outer bolts. I then just turned it and it passed outwards over the crank and pedal. Fitting the replacement is just the reverse but you need a long tweezers and its a bit picky to refit the inner allen 'nut' thing. Although its not necessary to...

Is it mad to want two e-bikes?

It would be great if both bikes had similar type batteries that are interchangable. This would be great for long runs or allow you to instantly choose either bike when only one battery is charged etc.

    Help !!

Be sure to check the freewheel/freehub for looseness/bearings as this a common problem. e.g. https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/knocking-noise-from-the-motor-freehub-after-1500km.41855/

    Applying Stickers to Hub Motor

I just wiped the section of the motor down with a dry rag and stuck them on. I found it hard to get them square when fitting thru the spokes. No problems so far. (excuse the photo quality)

    More Seizures

One of the bikes seized above has no chain or freewheel. Is it a front hub motor fitted to the rear ? Also I cant see a rear brake. I suppose with that big motor, its possible that there is some type of regenerative braking on the rear?

    Woosh Revisiting my first conversion

There is normally a small difference between the 7 and 8 speed, with 7 speed 5mm c/c and 8 speed 4.8mm c/c (shimano) which can be a problem/cause unreliable indexing/having to sometimes click up twice and back once when changing . https://www.sheldonbrown.com/cribsheet-spacing.html There is a...

    More Seizures

Its a good question. They seem to have treated them differently and there were two different offenses reported. The e bike which 'has been modified to go at a higher speed is illegal and would be classed as a Category A motor vehicle, meaning it requires the driver to have a license, helmet...

    For Sale Bargains

Picture below of BB/rear chainstays . Those big circles are unusual and I think would get in the way/ruin the chainline, so you would need to carefully measure.

Are the KT controllers slightly pessimistic as far as battery level ?

The advice above comes from the German forum. You could try it out to see does it work .

Are the KT controllers slightly pessimistic as far as battery level ?

One thing I can recall for certain is that the LVC voltage setting (C12) also has a bearing. In my case its set to the default value of 30v. I can remember setting it higher once to 31V and this scaled up all the other levels on the display. My battery normally starts to show empty at around...
