    Hi from Mid Wales.

Of course the obvious question is, 'why have it delivered to their offices/workshop', surely they could've just as easily had it sent directly to you? Could it be that they're telling lies? Ian

    Upgrading an existing ebike

The FedEx man came bearing gifts this afternoon. Jools and I set to and fitted the new battery rack, controller and display, took our time in an effort not to mess up. Getting the new display cable through the tube was a pain and eventually accepted that we were not able to get it to go up the...

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Yeah, I'll hang fire trying anything until I've got the lot and can install in one go, I have a limited attention span (especially if anything goes wrong) ;) , so best done in one go! Cheers Ian

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Hi, My apologies I'd whizzed through your reply without really noting your advice, have now taken it, although I went with a different battery supplier, just waiting on the bits now, I do hope I have bodged the order. Cheers Ian

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Right, so I've ordered the controller with display as recommended by VFR400 (cheers fella), assuming that if I just wired up the new (on it's way) 36v battery it'd just fritz the existing controller, will be reporting back in a few days time! Ian

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Hi All Sorry, I went a bit quiet on this, I'd convinced myself that Jools needed a new bike and the NCM Milano was going to be the way forward, well guess what, it's out of stock, looks like 'ma belle-soeur' got the last one! So back to updating the existing bike, it appears that 36v and (at...

    Hi from Mid Wales.

Two points! 1. He's lying VFR400, he was fat for the first 65 years of his life, give or take, these last few he isn't, he's no lightweight though! 2. Kevin, how come Liz wasn't out on it last night, you or I would have been and soon as the charging light turned off (maybe). Ian

    Sinclair c5 revisited

Reminded me of the Python sketch with self ejecting food, I believe that referenced cycling too, I'm sure you must know it? Just realised the size of this thread, I hope this hasn't already been made mention of and I'm just very late to the party? Ian

Looking for a NCM Moscow plus 29”

I was just being mean to my brother, but when I looked into it further, it turns out that there's no Moscow mules available here in France either! Ian

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Hi That's where I started, unfortunately I don't seem able to find a direct replacement, I'll need the whole battery box as the existing one is literally falling apart, annoying the very first time I looked I found a replacement at Ali-Baba, can I find it now  Cheers

    Upgrading an existing ebike

Hi Georgehenry That's good to hear, I suppose that it's all a bit of a lottery, Jools's battery will get us to Mt St Michel and back, that's 32km but as flat a ride as you're ever likely to make, throw an incline at it and it starts acting up, for instance it turns off assistance to advise...

    Upgrading an existing ebike

2xRC36s and a SH300i for me, poor Jools is relegated to a non-running Chinese copy of a Lambretta! Yeah, I thought it a magnetic sensor, pretty neatly done, it looks better thought out than the arrangement on my KTM. Cheers Ian

    Software updates.

Yes! I dunno, hell it was over 6 years ago, but if you pressed me I say it was the latter.

    Software updates.

Couldn't tell you exactly but I received notification of one just weeks after I'd bought the bike, back in late '15, I was working lots at the time so I didn't get around to taking it back to the dealer, he was based in Hampton Wick, just off Kingston Bridge at the junction of High St and Park...
