Hi I've recently bought a eff ebike of a friend and I can't decide wether or not to get a speedbox chip or if anyone knows of another way to derestrict without a chip.... that would be much appreciated for any help or guidance

Don't get me wrong I do love the bike but just on the throttle alone it only reaches 12.5 mph compared to the 21 it dose in the air and I'm only 10 stone so it just doesn't feel like it should both speed and or thrill wise

Thats not ideal, and would indicate problem.
Fully charge the battery and take a voltage reading of the output to get a quick indicator of your battery health.

Take a few pics of the bike especially the handle bar display to help id the bike and its system.

If it does 21 mph with the wheel in the air, it's not restricted in any way, so no Speedbox or any similar device would help you. You need to provide information about the battery and controller in order to get advice on how to get more power.

Maybe that's all it can manage. Is it the fat tyre model? Those tyres have higher rolling resistance than normal wheels so maybe the motor isn't happy about that.
