    Brompton Nano conversion

Hi Ian, I had the same problem...and had to resort to a bike shop! I know that doesn't help. Presumably you have the Nano PowerPoint instructions? Keep sane, Richard.

    Another newbie question

I too live on the outskirts of Sheffield (Lodge Moor). Last year I bought a Canondale Neo Synapse2 from Evans (with discount). I'm very pleased with it - a good range, good gears etc. At 19.5kg it's a bit heavy but I can get it into the back of a VW Golf if I take the front wheel off first. So...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Hi Helen, I'm envious of your being able to ride in France. Glad to hear that you are still pleased with your Neo. I am too...it's a little more comfortable now that I've adjusted the saddle so it's almost parallel with the ground. I'm obviously not as fit as you as I think 'Tour' is my default...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Thanks Nev. I know what you mean ...I'm retired too...but cycling with a local U3A group in the Peaks in winter often mean it's raining and/or dark by the end of the ride. I've git lights now bu am reticent about mudguards.

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Looks good Nev. How do you find the saddle? (Mine feels like cast iron...my filum terminale is aching for days afterwards. I have the saddle at approx. the same angle as yours (4 degrees down?)). So far, like you , I'm very pleased with it (Synapse Neo2)...despite its weight. Any thoughts re...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Thanks Nev.Just returned; we actually went from Lodge Moor to the other side of Edale (about 36 miles- uphill and down-dale). Three battery bars remaining; a warm days but I hardly broke sweat. What a difference! To use the Cannondale app one needs a front wheel sensor. Cannondale is bringing...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Thanks Nev; agreed. I was almost tempted by the new Boardman with the Fazua motor - partly 'cos of the looks and light weight - but it does have a limited range. A ride today from Lodge Moor to Hathersage should be interesting...

    Cannondale Synapse Neo

Just bought today: A Synapse NEO 2. I live in the Peak District (UK) so very hilly! I've just done 10 miles in it for a 'shakedown' appraisal. So far I'm impressed. The frame rides and steers well and would be a very comfortable ride if it wasn't for the cast-iron saddle. The 'Turbo' and...

I've just done 10 miles in it for a 'shakedown' appraisal. So far I'm impressed. The frame rides and steers well and would be a very comfortable ride if it wasn't for the cast-iron saddle. The 'Turbo' and 'Sport's modes don't appear to be that different. The Purion display is a bit basic; a...

Boardman HYB 9E vs Cannondale Synapse NEO 2

Got it! It's the Neo2 in red. I've just done 10 miles in it for a 'shakedown' appraisal. So far I'm impressed. The frame rides and steers well and would be a very comfortable ride if it wasn't for the cast-iron saddle. The 'Turbo' and 'Sport's mode don't appear to be that different. The Purion...

Boardman HYB 9E vs Cannondale Synapse NEO 2

I have a Carbon racer (PlanetX), a Caradoc hybrid (non-electric and surprisingly good), as well as a Nano-converted Brompton (SA 5-speed). I am 71 yrs old, somewhat overweight (94kg) and with bad knees. I fancy selling the PlanetX and getting an Ebike. I have drawn up a 'short' list (30+!) inc...

Lightweight urban e-bikes such as Ampler Curt, Orbea Gain F40 etc.

That's interesting..thanks.... May I ask how tall you are...as I'm thinking of getting a Neo2 too. Evans' have them at £2700 ("£700off") BUT I'm also interested in the new Boardman. Boardman HYB 9E and the Cannondale Synapse NEO 2 Boardman: Lighter; £500 cheaper; removable battery and motor...

Hi, thanks. My other post (where I asked for advice between the Boardman HYB 9E and the Cannondale Synapse NEO 2 seems to have been deleted. Any idea why?)
