If you have rats in your restaurant, best to get rid of them quietly rather than advertise them to the world. I'll watch this space and your progress with interest.

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

@KTM Bike Industries UK I take some of your points on board but do feel that you are somewhat paranoid. I'm really not sure that this was ever a problem until you started shouting. If you wish to put a stop to this, would it not have been better to quietly have the manufacturers install a...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

You have summed up why the E bike market will never be allowed to reach its full potential. The throttle business is just an attack on the weaker or disabled rider. The lack of speed options with or without insurance etc is just a way of stunting the growth of green transport. Luckily we are...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

Readers do not need to be educated. Most know the legalities. All your little campaign will achieve is to ultimately inhibit the full potential of the E- bike market and assist in lowering long term sales figures. Take a look at any MTB mag. More speed tuition, special downhill courses to go...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

Surely it is the damn 15mph limit thats the problem. Get rid of that and the issue that you keep blatting on about will go away. A 250w unrestricted bike is speed self limiting by the very fact that it has a tiny motor. If there are events and centres that require have a speed limit, this...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Balls with larger dimensions than normal would be the requirement. Very skillful and excellent footage.

    Right... I'm going tubeless

I've been running the same set up on my non electric mtb for most of this year. Not a single puncture despite having pulled out numerous thorns. Used to have a puncture every other week. Best investment I've made this year. I still carry a spare tube and have topped up a couple of times so...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

You'll not stop any quicker with a 200 on the rear, just be easier to lock up as the rear lightens up during braking. I tried it once, went back to the 180 almost next day. Worth a try but don't expect to stop sooner.

    Bosch Dongle Options

It won't be a reed switch. Hall effect or inductive coil, most likely. Moving the magnet up or down the spoke does normally change the cut in speed.

    Sat Nav for cycling

Dave, I agree that you can do much the same and a lot more on a modern phone. I've tried it but I found that after 4,5 hours the battery would flatten. The touch screen was a pain with wet or muddy hands. My Satmap gives all day power with the display on dim setting and uses waterproof buttons...

    Sat Nav for cycling

Not technically a Sat nav but a navigational aid. I use a Satmap Active 12 with 1:50k Full GB O/S map loaded. Almost exclusively used off road and is a brilliant bit of kit that finds even the smallest trail. Pre planned GPX routes can be created on a Mac or PC and loaded in as required. Fully...

    Royal Mail Conundrum.

For £6.68, I'd not even waste half hour of life my even thinking about it. I'd chuck it in the next charity shop when in one and move on if it were me.

    How do.

Good day Charlie Haibike generally fit pretty good gear sets. Are you sure that you have set the current system set up spot on? You should not need to run to XT to get a sweet change. What's the bike running at the moment?

I pitty the poor sods who just want to get on and build simple, low powered electric cycles. EN this and EU that. Lifes not that long
