    e-MTB, What's the point?

Working in music production, I am more than familiar with the 'old school' at first sneering at new technology, then accepting it, then adopting it. To this extent I recognise and empathise with what e-MTBers are going through now, in terms of broad approval and acceptance. I, for one, am very...

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Oooh, I'd like to see that!! Are you chopping the frame up to fit the battery, or, as I understand it, slotting them into the frame somehow??

WANTED: NON-Working Bafang/8-fun mid drive motor

Just out of interest Steve: I'm planning to have the battery in my rucksack - mainly for aesthetic reasons, but also so as not to attract too much attention. What's your opinion on this?

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Depends who you listen to! Some e bike sites insist that the 500 + 750 are exactly the same motor... I don't have a clue!

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

I think that the 500W is favourite, but given that one might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb, I might now consider the 750W...

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Well...have I stepped on a land-mine, or what!!?? It just so happens that one of 'the two obvious choices' has indeed got back to me this evening, so I know where my money is going now...This is clearly a very influential site!!! All joking aside, I am really grateful for the helpful nature on...

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Oh, believe me, I'd rather shop 'locally', but trying to get any consistent advice - or any advice at all, seems to be nigh-on impossible. No response from either of the two obvious places to buy mid-drive Bafangs. Like I said, I'm seriously considering a move into this marketplace since it is...

    Any ebike conversion shops

That's a beaut! The Rockhopper is the latest 2017 model and yes, it s going to be the donor bike. I'm going to trawl ebay for a 'spares only' 8-fun, if such a thing exists, just so that I can do a trial fit before blowing £600 - £700!

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

I'm curious because the power to shift my 250lbs/113kg weight, plus the bike, is my main worry. Speed is a secondary issue, although it would be fun to be able to temporarily de-limit the thing, under appropriate circumstances. I'm at the research stage at the moment, although I'm edging...

Yes, I had a look, but couldn't find anything specific to an 'over wattage' motor.
