Finally. The man says something I can agree with.

I think quite a few of us could hazard a pretty accurate guess on how Dianne Abbott would perform. I mean - come on - if OG can predict how the country is going to turn out in 5-10 years time (though he's not willing to put any proper money on it which always makes me wonder...) - then I think...

But that is what some cultures advocate - are we to tolerate them too?

So here we have OG who now thinks he knows the future. He has so bought into his own 'rightness' he thinks he knows what's going to happen. But is he really as sure as he makes out? If he really did know the future as well as he thinks he does he'd have put a massive amount of money on...

Do you think all cultures are equal? What about cultures that promote violence/intolerance towards certain LGBT groups? Should we tolerate those?

You eat meat because it brings you pleasure. Just like the people who go on hunts. We all do things because they make us feel good. It's human nature. If you give up meat - btw - it will be because it makes you feel good (to give it up). So there is no escape by suddenly changing into...

OG lives in a fantasy land. That way he can sit back and criticise - never having to take responsibility for making a decision. He says voting Tory was a mistake - that this government is a mistake. But he does not consider what the alternative was - or if he does he has no clue about the...

and: "Middlesbrough, a port, has always had immigrant labour and, indeed, the town was built by Irish immigrants. Racial conflict is almost entirely absent. But local people are not happy that the town has recently become a dumping ground for economic migrants, or that the same migrants alter...

Guess the writer for a bonus point: "She’s wary of telling me which way she voted. “People get mad and think you’re evil,” she says, so I know exactly how she voted. You hear the same thing all the time, a reluctance to divulge for fear of opprobrium. Eventually she says: “I voted for Boris...

You were obviously not brought up in the countryside. My gran would call you a 'Townie'. It is much more complicated than that (about hunting). Hunting is an entire culture - it has its merits. My gran would lecture us for hours on how 'townies' tried to bring their values into the...

And something Trump won millions of votes from - by pushing back against. 'Build the wall' resonated with many ordinary people.

The popularism we are seeing at the moment is driven by cultural insecurity - economic insecurity is secondary (though significant and important). Labour can not address the cultural insecurity because they're pushing for more liberal policies - they only attempt to address the economic...

Interesting stat - from YouGov. 35% of Remainers would not be happy if their daughter or son brought home a partner who voted leave. The figure for Leave parents? (bringing home somebody who voted remain): 11%

Too many new cultures/people arriving up north did it. London is used to that. They were not in Hartlepool etc. Places that saw the percentage of white caucasians fall from 90% to below 80% in a few years. Too fast for any effective integration.

It still concerns me that around 25% of the population still do want such crack-pot policies. But at least for 5 probably 10 years they won't be getting a look in.
