    Helmets

last autumn my front wheel slid on wet leaves and I came off. My helmet was well damaged, three years ago I was knocked off the road by a motorist with similar results. (Two days in hospital). I have to say that after my experiences I would recommend it is well worth wearing a helmet. I agree...

    Sick Salisbury

I doubt if they carry out colour blindness tests in china. In my old profession, manufacturing electronics, we found 18% of males, much less of females failed the test with most having problems with the red green spectrum. So I am would not be surprised if that contributes to the mistakes...

    Correct tyre pressure ?

You never cease to surpise me Flecc, however I corrected the tyre pressures on madame's Ezee chopper today with similar good results but while out on a test run whilst coming up a steep hill I couldn't help but think what a good bike the Ezee chopper would have been for our lady member in San...

    Correct tyre pressure ?

I purchased one of these cheap digital tyre pressure gauges from a local petrol station and when I tried it on the bike it was way out !! or so I thought. Having checked it out with the car and our local tyre service shop I found it was my ancient metal slide gauge which was at fault. On a...

    Interesting Encounters

Another thought has just occurred to me, the cyclists I have gained on are just normal cyclists not racers so perhaps after reaching the top of the hill they just relax and coast down where as I tend to keep the throttle open until I have reached a speed where I know the motor is not...

    Interesting Encounters

I am struggling with this one flecc, I agree with the physics and math but at the same I too have noticed how I catch up lighter bikes on a long steep downhill run. Would it be something to do with the weight v air resistance relationship, to give an extreme analogy the falling of a feather and...

Light, fastest, climbs mountains, and pretty efficient

Well done flecc, thank you for a tantalising, tittilating conundrum. I have been following it with great mirth and interest, however now that my little brain can now stop buzzing with whacky ideas and accept that perhaps my thinking cannot climb out of the box ! I would ask is there a way to...

    Everyone OK

Brilliant Grandad, Managed to negotiate floods by riding in the centre of of the road with fingers firmly crossed but when zooming down a hill I went through an innocent looking puddle which turned out to be a blooming great pothole!! Shook me up but trusty Liv survived...

Ipod whilst cycling - legal, or illegal?

Perhaps because we are so vulnerable on a bike I want my full attention on the sound of the bike and surrounding traffic, however with the current trend of folks wanting to listen to audio entertainment all the time I can understand it but I still think it is risky.

Ezee Forte - not so sure after A-to-B review

Now there is food for thought Flecc it does away with those nasty hill things and you can concentrate the energy in a narrow power band !!

Ezee Forte - not so sure after A-to-B review

Can you fit floats and a prop to the 'Q' Flecc ????

What makes an efficient on road e-bike?

The preceding discussion has been very illuminating for me. It begs the following question : bearing in mind that earlier posts have indicated the Ezee Liv has a very 'peaky' power band ( I assume this means max torque is delivered over a very narrow rev area) at what mph does the Liv motor...

    Charging connector on Ezee batteries

A rainy day, there I was sitting there quite happily, pencil in hand, blank sheet of paper, vernier and the offending XLR connector. Just about to design the worlds first XLR extractor and in walks SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED back from playing with her horses, I explained the difficulty of pulling...
