Thats def not right. Disconecting the throttle is the way to go.U will be amazed at the times people inc me had an issue and that solved it.My bbs01 issue was only fully solved with a replacement controller under the warrenty.Disconnecting the throttle worked but i wanted pas and throttle

I find its perfectly good on my 17t- 19t going up hills, typicaly 12mph.U can peddle faster an the motors spinning fast.Only on very steep hills do i have to drop another to the 24t but still 9mph without straining the controller.I use Full throttle 18amp tho.Better pulling away ,slow peddling...

Hi tommie on 3-5 i suppose thats around the same power as my bbs01 on max ? Do you find you get 33% more range as its a 48ah of same size or is it even better if a more efficient motor. Is 48 or 52 the better choice for these,thanks

I jus use thin oil too.Read it makes for improved efficieny milage over a dry chain .Only thing ive got different to you is i put a precie alps narrow wide 42t on mine.Feels a lot better esp hills an low speed manouvering

If your speed has exceeded the 15mph cut off and you havent changed that ,then the motor wont run til ur back under 15.When u pause peddling the motor disengages after a second.Re peddling or throttle should give a powerful sensation of torque when using full power in throttle or high pas .Def...

Update for anyone interested.After several suggestions that the issue is a low keep current.Finally got around to connecting the watt meter from my other bike, to see what its pulling. Throttle 18 - 18.5 amps . Max PAS even while hill climbing, only a measly 7.5 - 8.5 amps.So blimey yes must...

Short story.Was great out of the box.A problem developed after rain drenchings.Eclipse bikes tested the controller.It was the culprit and they replaced it.They assure me its programmed as 350w 18amp. But its gutless.Its like my grans motobility scooter ,nothing like it used to be...

I will see if a friend can bring his laptop over. I know somethings different. On max PAS i used to reach high speed with ease and climb hills with a smile.I only get that now if i hold the throttle down .Which i keep doing ,so i dont end up with a greater range as a positive trade off.
