Replacement electric parts for Raleigh Stoweway (Tranzx)?

Yes, sorry, you did say about 40v on the board. It could equally be the display not switching the controller. Is that the BL21 battery? Does it have extra pins for a 5v supply?

Replacement electric parts for Raleigh Stoweway (Tranzx)?

The above suggests to me an intermittent battery connection fault. As you have the controller open, I'd first be checking you're getting battery voltage at the controller. It may be as simple as a bent/worn pin where the battery connects to the cradle.

Help! Ebike kit I can carry in airports and charge my Macbook

It's not the airport but each airline you need to worry about. Each airline has (at least had) a different limit - eg BA used to have a 100Wh per battery limit, but no limit on how many individual batteries you could carry. Other airlines had their own different limits/restrictions. It was in my...

Replacement electric parts for Raleigh Stoweway (Tranzx)?

Halfords sell the Raleigh Evo HERE- same bike, different name. Halfords, as a Raleigh dealer, have the Logix diagnostics too - or as a minimum access to it. It's just a software download from Raleigh onto a PC/laptop, connected to the bike with a standard mini USB to USB A cable. If the battery...

Replacement electric parts for Raleigh Stoweway (Tranzx)?

That's really poor, especially considering that you did exactly the right thing in taking it back to the dealer you bought it from. Usually it's just the dealers who didn't sell you the bike who don't want to know. AFAIK, the parts are all still available. Some parts were difficult to get for a...

Speed Pedelec successfully registered with DVLA (Riese & Muller Cruiser HS Vario)

The (few) Police I know in passing know as much about e-bikes as most of us here on the forum. Two I know moderately well own and ride e-bikes in their private lives for exactly the same reasons we all do: leisure, exercise, getting to work, shopping. My understanding is that the penalties...

    New Front Forks

The main difference between the 188D fork specified and the 187D you have fitted is that the 188D are slightly beefier in both stanchions and legs. Neither are Zooms finest catalogue items IMHO. The only Zoom fork I've ever owned was more akin to a pogo stick than a suspension fork: The...

    New Front Forks

Welcome! The specification for your bike on the Ridgeback site does say 63mm travel, but the image looks like there's more than 63mm. Are you sure yours are as the specification says they should be? The usual budget fork you'd expect fitted at about that price of e-bike is the Suntour NEX...

    Bromton v Fiido YouTube video

Fair review - I've watched his Brompton reviews before. I commented on my own D11 here. Don't know what's up with his brakes - contamination, or warped discs maybe. Fiido will send him new ones if he asks. Mine are fine. Yes, everyone says the grips are horrible - I replaced mine with leather...

Bosch Flow App & control system(s)

Have any of the Bosch e-bike owners/potential buyers any thoughts on this new system from Bosch? Slated to be available on new Bosch driven e-bikes from this Christmas, it seems something of a gamechanger for Bosch devotees. At last, it's changing from a closed system to a more open one, where...

Petrigo Commuter 1 year in, what next?

That display is used on a number of Chinese models: For example, Fiido use it on four different e-bikes. Each display is programmed differently to work with a different controller, so none are interchangeable. If none of the hacks work (there may be others I haven't heard of), the P settings/...

Petrigo Commuter 1 year in, what next?

Probably behind the battery in the downtube. When trying any of these hacks, make sure your battery is fully charged (yours is 3/4). Several have tried proven hacks and don't notice any difference because battery voltage is lower than maximum and with their motor the increase is in any case...

Petrigo Commuter 1 year in, what next?

Find the controller and see if there's a single-strand looped wire coming out of it - or two single wires not connected. If the two ends of the looped wire are connected, disconnect. Or if there's two open ended wires with mating connectors, connect to form a loop. Beyond that, you may need to...

Petrigo Commuter 1 year in, what next?

Some other e-bikes that use that same display have various ways of cracking the speed limit: These may work for you or maybe not: First method: Hold the front and rear brakes at the same time, twist the throttle to maximum, then turn on the display meter. Wait for the screen to flash E004 over...

Opinions about what would suit my needs greatly appriociated

Yes, I know what you're saying and do agree with you in principle. The Ebco/TranzX bike was new through Halfords and has behaved perfectly from new. It hasn't been too difficult to get my own copy of the CanBus diagnostics software, and I have two good sources for parts - although a time will...

Opinions about what would suit my needs greatly appriociated

I think it a little premature to pre-judge a new e-bike/drive when it isn't even on sale yet. I think I was the first here on the forum to buy the Greenway Cross City hybrid for £1100 with the then relatively unknown Bafang MaxDrive. Half a dozen other members later took the plunge too. And...

Opinions about what would suit my needs greatly appriociated

Halfords have a new commuter e-bike - Carrera Impel - coming soon. It differs in that it uses totally different electrics to the potentially problematic Suntour system used on the majority of other Carreras. It's an option given your faith in your local Halfords, but the Woosh is probably the...

    SameBike E-One problem

The bike carries the moniker "E-One", but everybody calls it Samebike 20LVXD30. If you're looking for solutions to problems, search using that term. There seem to be a few problems reported related to the battery/connections and the remote control. It's a 48-volt battery; fully charged you...
