Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

Cool, thanks, my throttle is a millimeter away from the brake, so i dont need it then. Looks like i need a bigger better battery charger, second battery is on charge and its going to take 40 mins more, then another hour for the third battery and i'll be off :)

Perfect !, thats how i'll do mine then, thanks. I'm back onto the fitting again this morning, should have it done by this afternoon as long as i dont get any problems. One question i do have is, there is a little plastic collar that came with the throttle, does anyone know what its for ?

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

I'll be careful, but my daily ride is a suzuki bandit 600 motorbike !, so i'm not expecting any suprises really. :) Next problem, I'm trying to figure out which side the on button with the + and - on, and the throttle should go ?, I was trying to set it up with a right throttle the same as a...

Thanks for the reply, sounds like i need a whole tool kit to keep up with the maintenance then, its normally cheaper to buy a whole set rather than keep buying individual tools

Out of stock already... surely not!

Sorry :( didnt mean it that way, and Eclipse just emailed me to say that they came in with the wrong programming and dont have the throttle only option pre set, but rather than wait another 1+ week for delivery, i've opted to take it as it is, so will have to pedal all the time, but at least it...

Out of stock already... surely not!

I ended up going for 4 x 4s Turnigy 8000mah multistar batteries, I'm going to dissasemble one of them and add one cell to 1 of the other 3 packs to make a 5s pack which when added to the other 2 x 4s packs gives me a 13s pack and then they are capable of putting out 48v at 80amps constant, so...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

That looks like a very similar setup to what i'm looking to achieve, although i'm not wanting quite such large bags !, hoping to get away with the small triangle bag you started with, but i might end up with the giant pannier set !! Is that the 750w 48v BBS02 ?, if so, how are you finding it ...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

I hadnt thought of battery protection (from bumps and drops), and i like the idea of the floor tiles, nice and compact, so will start off with a plastic lunchbox lined with memory foam, and then look at doing something similar once the setup has been proven and tested. Looks like my batteries...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

I'm an electronics engineer by trade !, so the wiring is simple stuff for me, and i already have a 2x 6s charger and a 1x6s charger so dont have a problem charging or assembling the packs, and in fact, i would enjoy the challenge of building the packs, I have taken apart and reconfigured quite a...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

Thanks d8veh, I'm going to order 4 x 4s 8000mah multistar and use the 4th pack to make one of the others a 5s, so that i get 2x4s and 1x5s 8000mah packs which i will join with xt90 connectors in series to give me a 13s pack, and next month (when my finances recover!!) I will order another 3x4s...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

Its all hills really, i will be riding from Kilmington near axminster in devon, to Lyme regis along the A35 which is a long 2 mile uphill on the way there, then a long downhill on the way back, I wouldnt need power on the downhills so there would be 3 miles of downhill each way, so its only 4...

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

Doh!, lots more to think about before i choose a battery then ! I think i'll go 13s using either multistar or zippy flightmax packs in either 3s+3s+3s+4s to make a 13s lipo of either 5200mah or 8000mah My trip to work is only 7 miles, but is quite hilly, so a 14 mile round trip to work and...

500w Bafang mid drive installed! Watt meter anyone?

If you upgrade your display to the C965 i believe that is has a watt meter built in, so no extra displays or wiring to install

Just ordered a 750w BBS02, my first electric bike !

my lipo alarms go off at 3.3v and i usually stop flying at 3.2v unless its not safe to land when i have flown down to 2.9v but this is rare, so 3.4v shouldnt be too much of a problem. The guy at eclipse did say that he could program it for me, so maybe he can set the lvc a bit lower, is this...
