I second that, GT85 is what I use, I can also confidently say virtually every bike shop I visit, (over 500 shops) also use GT85.

Very true! Luckily in Bath there is so much traffic around, the cars drown out the noise from the motor so it doesn't really bother me.

Hi Tony, the motors will get quieter over time once they have been used a bit, but as Flecc says they are brushed motors so will always be noisier than brushless motors.

Ok Bubbles, that's what I think it is then. None of our throttles have Elite written in them so I'm thinking it is either faulty or the wrong one. Just to confirm, your throttle is a full twist throttle with H M L written on the lights?

Hi Bubbles, is the throttle a full length grip throttle, or is it just a grip shift style (thumb and index finger twist)?

The switch on the handle bar would not effect the diagnostics on the bike, neither do the brake cut off (there is only only on the left hand lever). I'm still thinking there is something within the throttle that is not quite right. Can you confirm the NEW throttle was purchased from a Powabyke...

Hi Bubbles, did you just change the throttle, or did you change the extension cable from the throttle to the PCB? It is possible that there is a break in the internal cables causing the bike not to work. Also check for any signs of corrosion on the 6 pin plug between the throttle and extension...
