What are the major factors that persuaded you to get an electric bike?

I too dreamed of a motorised bike as a kid. I was always on two wheels growing up. Racers with cow horns buckling wheels doing jumps. Grifters. The first bmxs etc. Aged 12 I got my first moped for 7 quid. And road it around the garden and disused nearby land. That had an exposed throttle cable...

    Which ebike - complete novice?

Hi I just recently bought my first ebike. It must be the best thing I've ever bought. With a infrequent bus service and no car. Knowing how I feel now. I would be kicking myself I didn't do it years ago. But we are all different. You've got a decent size ebike specialist right near Taunton...

    That's Cheating!

It must have been a lovely darling buds sort of life to be able to get so worked up over such pleasant situations as a walker passing near to a cyclist. Some people don't know how lucky they are. So a friendly reminder that no one is ever really safe I find deflates some of that pomposity...

    That's Cheating!

Well it's all good to know. I appreciate the info. I will just freak them out by telling them it's my 2nd time round and they should be more worried by the two shady looking foreign types hanging around and smoking foreign cigarettes by the next style.

    That's Cheating!

When you watch Leighs videos you can see him leave the path and go on the grass all the time. It was one of the things that made be splash a bit of extra cash. Using an ebike means you can get out of the way easier and give way easier.

    That's Cheating!

there will always be someone. often a white privileged middle-class hobbyist that is just bristling with indignation looking.for an argument. There's a retired couple 3 doors down that ring a bell to ward of squirrels in their garden. Insist on taking two spaces in the road. And shout at any and...

    That's Cheating!

As I read it . Cyclists can use footpaths unless local bylaws prohibit. The ones I've used have some vague signage . But certainly no mention of cycling being prohibited. The first couple of gates were the long metal ones that enable you to manoeuvre a bike in and through. Certainly way more...

    That's Cheating!

I've had my ebike only 8 days. I've ridden over 70 miles. Nearly all fields footpaths and woodland. I have not seen another adult riding in all those hours. So I'm getting fresh air and exercise. So can't even say I'm cheating myself.

    That's Cheating!

I'm looking forward to a stranger shouting something negative to me. Especially a fellow cyclist. I will have a lot of fun.

    That's Cheating!

It can't be cheating unless it's a competition. My uk carp personal best is 30lb 4 ounces. The main reason it's not higher is that I just don't fish the big circuit waters that hold 40s and 50s. Go to France and 50s are common. So there's plenty of novice anglers that can say they have had a...

    That's Cheating!

I've not had it long so nothing face to face. However one friend commented on Facebook. "That's cheating isn't it." With a smiley. I just replied "probably, if it was a competition . I like to think it's enhancing" While I was researching some bike stuff I landed on a couple of cycling forums...

    I'm puzzled

That's right mate. It's near us. I can't say how good it is. I'm no mountain biker. But I have to give respect to my lad. 9.5 years. And matched me all around those woods with no electric. Tougher than I ever was.

    I'm puzzled

Great post mate. I've had my oxygen MTB for a week now . Have ridden it every day. Done over 50 miles. Explored footpaths parks fields and woods that I've never set foot on. Me and the lad are off to joydens wood this afternoon . Best thing I've bought in years.

    Oxygen MTB off-road speed

The dealer. Marcus at Biddenden set mine at power for me. As I wasnt convinced how powerful these things are.i think it's more torque. When I get down to some private land that I have access to I will drop the wheel size and give it a go. By then my phone holder will have arrived so I can use...

They are. I'm in south London. Bexley. We have to take what we can. However as my fitness and confidence grows I can see me and the lad going further afield. Both bikes will lay nicely in the back of our old zafira.

Well. I just had my first fall. Well. Slip really. I was walking the bike down a steep path and slipped on some ice Lol. I did my first proper offroad ride. I worked out that I could get from my house to open ground and footpaths and use those to get around rather than roads. Pretty desolate...
