Oh yes. I lift heavy and take protein after. Proper.mid life crisis. However I've never been sporty and lacked cardio fitness. So I would get very tired after working out. Having good upper body strength is all well and good. And I was thankfull for the last two years in the gym when I went over...

So having hit 38 mph on the way back down. It was a leisurely ride home so I decided on a detour through a local park. All looked lovely. Even got to see a Herron fishing. Although in true Sarf London style he's caught a rat.

So. I took the bike up Shooters hill in Welling. Just to see if we could make it. I have no idea if you guys would consider it a challenge. But it's well known around here. Wind and traffic didn't help. But we made it to the top.

Just came back from my longest ride so far. And first ever spring ride. 20 miles. Bear in mind I'm a newbie to cycling. I put together some shorter runs from previous trips. I wanted to follow the river shuttle from Sidcup though Bexley where it joins the river Cray at Bexley. Then follow the...

    Podride: You'll love this one.

I'm not sure I want my lad risking his life on the roads around here. I've lived here all my life. It's a shame but it's much more built up. more people and many more cars than when I was a lad in the 70s. A road that we would actually play footbAll in. Is now so busy I can't even practice...

Does your bike have a name?

I haven't named mine. But I don't think I've ever got around to naming any object like some do. However I have referred to my weight loss, weight lifting and now ebiking as my 'on going midlife crisis'

True Flecc. I do the school run to take my lad to Primary school. Well over half the kids are spitting distance to the primary school. The others are a 5 minute drive. This suits the parents. Once the kids are at secondAry they don't care how far the poor sods have to travel. They are on their own.

    PAS level and power level?

Ah. I get what you mean now Dave.Told you I was thick. I was completly underestimating how fast you go from first peddle. If I'm on power setting. Highest . And PAS 1 it seems like there is hardly any assist as it cuts out so soon because of the lower speed setting.
