Recommend me a new front light

Gaz, get a joystick. When cycling through woods near where I live there's loads of deer and this is a great spot light for seeing them at night.

Recommend me a new front light

i went a bit mad and bought the exposure lights i.e toro, joystick and rear light. All great quality, great cs, great guarantee and rechargeable batteries built in. They also have a technology built in to lower light when riding slower with less turns. Ive had many chinese lights / hope etc and...

I've tried most tyres, last being smart sams with stans liquid. Still received punctures in between knobbly bits. Went to Marathons mtb plus with stans and so far so good.

    E-Bikeshop.co.uk

Oh, dont trust ebikeshop to fit you to correct bike, get a bike fit like i did so you know what bike will fit you as this shop doesn't have a clue. Tried selling me wrong sized bike.

I bought a Haibike allmtn rx from Martin with Dongle in March of this year. I only bought from him as i wanted this bike with Dongle. He was still some 100 miles from where i live. I nearly didn't buy from him as he is less than polite, poor customer service in that he doesn't seem bothered...

    Bike theif Car spotters needed

I've had friends in their garage at the time someone ran in and jumped on bike to steal it. I must admit after that I keep my garage door closed and bike locked on wall.

    First e-mtb demo ride today!

Good to hear you enjoyed the e-bikes. I think they are game changers after having road bikes 29ers etc. I ended up with a Haibike 27.5 full suss, still dialing in suspension.

To go tubeless or not to go tubeless.

Iast night i was 9 miles from home and my rear tyre received a flint puncture ripping a 4mm hole in tyre. Stans liquid poured out to no avail. stupidly my wife was at work, i had no tube and no way to repair. decided to mainly walk , but the odd occasion rode bike putting most weight on front...

To go tubeless or not to go tubeless.

Currently running schwalbe sam tyres with extra protection, so little heavier but worth it. tubeless for last few years, but rely more on a very puncture resistant tyre. weldtite good but once tyre has a big enough gash, its time to change asap.

    Dropper posts..

Well said Eddie. ESSENTIAL it is not, but useful it can be. Sometimes wonder how i managed in the 80's without one, but thats just showing my age.

    Dropper posts..

Well observed!. I don't do much downhill. However, i have in the past and managed without a dropper. If i did mostly downhill roding i can see the benefit, but for me downhill was about 15% of my riding, like most i suspect and realised the additional weight, cables and maintenance for me wasnt...

    Dropper posts..

Maybe it's just me bought I've have two dropper posts on different bikes i.e thomson being the last. i never really felt the need to use it and when i did i could have managed without. Decided to remove and sell reducing weight, additional cables and maintenance. i suppose each to their own but...

Can and should you ride an e-bike without a battery?

same here. i often ride with zero power or eco mode as you can squeeze a nice 80 mile ride out of bike with some battery life left

New 2016 Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB looks good

I've had the marathon plus and smart sam plus. Both excellent puncture resistance and worth the weight penalty imho.
