Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

soundwave is right, none of the new shocks i know of will fully lock out. i think the tyres and full-suss will make the bike more bouncy, than say a std 650b hard tail. They are chalk and cheese. I've already had to do maintenance work on my rear suspension to replace bushes.

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

Graham, it's only a bargain if you really like the bike and feel comfortable on it. If you have doubt's now, i'd think twice before purchase or you will regret it.

    Ebike vs Road bike

I'm still a member of the local roadie club and my last road bike was sold in summer of last year Colnago c59. The last sportive ride it did was 63 miles in 3 hrs 32 mins with very short stop at 35 mile point. i spend most time behind a group of 50-60 years old riders who paced themselves...

Do I need Full Sus on an electric fat bike?

I've only got full suss due to back issues and getting a little older, other than this for the kind of riding i do i.e. xc / trail its not really necessary adding weight and more maintenance. However, you could say the same about fat bikes as i'm no fan. Imho they are very noisy on tarmac but do...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

I usually cycle with friends but even so i always tell missus where I'm going and for how long, and always carry my mobile phone. I've had, and seem to many occasions after accidents etc, where help is needed. Anyway, i'm pleased your ok Neath. One last thing, i think coming off an E-bike is...

    Question about Bosch Nyon

I also have the Nyon, bought as an upgrade. In it's defence, it suits my needs i.e. large screen that i can see without wearing glasses, lots of info, maps my rides etc etc. I had the Garmin 800 and then the 1000 before this, but with every bit of technology there are benefits and issues. Even...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Well no pics and can hardly move due to bruising. Went for a ride with friend this morning in Kent, UK and within 4 miles we both hit black ice downhill and slid some 40 yards before stopping in the middle of the road in a heap. Lots of bruising / cuts, but could have been killed if a car had...

    Derestrict Yes or No ?

personally i would not be happy with my mtb if restricted to 15mph. It's nice to have the ability to ride at 30mph if or when you want to.

How long should a chain last on a E-MTB

I've had some fancy chains in the past, but now just run a shimano xt chain which seems to work well on my mtb.

    Front forks

I had same problem and bought a carbon riser bar to take out a little more vibration. Ergo grips help improve surface area and better gloves. All this was also to balance the weight I was putting down between seat and bars. It has helped, but very difficult to get rid of it totally.

I've been wondering about removing guard from jockey wheel as it's noisy and doesn't seem that centred with chain. Before I do this have you had any issues. Thanks Steve

    Full carbon E-Bike thoughts?

Agree with nemesis, and totally my point. Carbon is a waste on an e-bike. I was a reasonably fit rider and yes a super light carbon road bike makes a bit on difference, but not that much.

    Full carbon E-Bike thoughts?

IMHO a total waste of money, couldn't agree more with Steve. I now only have my ebike, but previously owned a Colnago C59 race bike with Campy super reg eps (which let me down all the time). I put full carbon campy bora 2 wheels on only to realise they had a limited life due to carbon hub wear...

Yes i did 3M vinyl work and painting myself as a project over a number of weeks. I used vinyl as next owner may like lime green (personal preference )and can remove vinyl. The 3m stuff is great quality and a previous bike i had it was just as good after 3 years. I used a surgeons knife, cutting...

if you don't like the colour then use vinyl to change colour. i hated the lime green on the rx and now its black, red and white.
