    Buy new Dongle or not?

Agree, did a test with battery / cadence etc and i think managed about 26 miles average 22-23 mph. The sweet spot for my set up seems to be battery eco, cadence 85-90 and cruise 21 mph get about +30 miles on flat route. Then tried 15mph, eco flat route and got near 60 plus miles. Then tried a...

Love the stove!!! I have all the bike packing gear and usually do a micro adventure 3 to 4 times a year. This usually involves a 100 mile round trip over 1 to 2 days, sleeping in a forest, orchard or where ever i get permission. GREAT FUN! When not bike packing i carry a micro stove kit, stop...

    Buy new Dongle or not?

Well had another run tonight, not ideal as now have cough / cold, anyway managed 39mph. 40 still alludes me grrrrrrr. Clearly for me anything in the +30mph is not sustainable for long anyway, 28mph is and getting to near 40 is a peak sprint, followed by near heart attack :)

    Insurance for e-bikes

Hi Jon, My experience is they won't touch a bike over 4k. Need specific bike insurance which is very expensive vs say car insurance. I think its a case of you take a chance or not.

    Insurance for e-bikes

What happens if your bike costs £6000?. The cost of a middle to high end e-mtb has gone up due to euro / sterling exchange. A mid range to high end bike costs anywhere from £4k - £10k plus. The insurance companies are not so keen then, motorised or not.

Eddie, I use photoshop. I have CS6, but found it too complicated and over the top for what I do. Saying that, it's becoming more difficult to get rid of the wife's wrinkles :).

    Insurance for e-bikes

My car insurance is much cheaper than trying to insure my bike, and one of them is a sports car (go figure). In the end, I didn't bother but have bike chained to wall / bolt anchors / CCTV and alarm. I'M NOT KIDDING!!. We where robbed about 2 years ago and they literally ripped my house apart...
