    specialized levo battery health dropping

I now have the Bosch Purion, as the kind of riding I do the Nyon was too big / fragile. Yes I could manipulate the power setting, but for me it was a bit pointless as eco to turbo do it all.

Pleased your ok. Must admit the government need to be much stricter with older drivers, as I can't tell you how many shouldn't be driving!. My uncle is a case in point i.e. 85 years old, 2 heart attacks within last 5 years, 2 eye operations, high everything, can't hear and when we visit...

Gazman, Not wanting to stir, but I would not want it going back to specialized unless they give you another bike to use. In other words the bike should be fit for purpose and your entitled to a replacement. I've heard that Specialized customer service is second to none in the bike world.

    specialized levo battery health dropping

That's understandable, although a race default must be their marketing tool. The Bosch Nyon i had could also be programmed for different modes and how they respond, in this case i felt it was a waste of time and went back to default programmes. Levo's are lovely bikes, but i think a handle...

    Buy new Dongle or not?

Good effort, see how it goes, but yes i would be better off with a new chain knowing the pressure its under.

    That's Cheating!

I'm finding e-bikes being accepted more in UK, definitely more established on continent. Personally, everyone i know who's tried them, loved them. Problem is a decent e-mtb is not cheap. I ride a lot of byways and if i see a motorbike i don't say there cheating, cheating who?. A couple of people...

Tugwell, It's just a matter of building up to it, and time to get out riding of course. Cycling is a bit of a leveller age wise. I remember cycling around Lake Annecy, france and been comfortably over taken on my road bike by 2 x 60 year olds (i was 40 at time). They were chatting like it was...

IR772....., Not sure if i can be bothered to respond, but here goes. It was a test on battery i.e how much i could get out of a full charge. Once only managed 18 miles on full turbo mode. I like to test what bike and rider can achieve, so as to manage future rides. Also, i like to test myself...

Well you've seen the improvements Tesla have made with battery efficiency / power and they haven't really started yet. The more i think about it the more I'm convinced e-bikes are the future.

When i get momentum up on flat, i switch assist off, same downhill. Other than this ride in eco and managed 300m of climbing. Best i got was near 60 miles. Range depends on so many factors, weather, roads, weight, cadence, tyres, wind etc etc. I'm tempted by another battery, but i'm reluctant to...

    Haibike Front Sprocket ?

Soundwave, Eddie is right. I glanced, but didn't read as private. Let's all get back on topic. BIKES!!! I stripped all drive chain down, lubed all and now runs well. The problem is, it's clearly needs more maintenance than std mtb.

    Haibike Front Sprocket ?

Soundwave, Wow, i wouldn't have told anyone this as it's your business. I certainly wouldn't bite from STUPID comments made here. I do have some sympathy, after paying 40% tax for over 20 years and asking the DSS (at the time) for a little help. I was told i had too much redundancy money, so...

    Speedo fault

I think the secret is to maintain bike well and be conscious of motor, battery and gearing in terms of not abusing them. Like all things the motor will eventually go, but at least you can buy a new one (not that you want to have to of course. I remember doing a turbo only ride, about 18-20miles...

    Speedo fault

I think 'll end up being able to cruise to work at about 20mph, with no sweat. I found that with current gearing i.e. 18t front / 11 rear I can cruise at about 20plus mph in eco/tour mode so battery is fine for getting to work. I did some tests with gearing / battery/ effort / mode. The sweet...

No, I'm changing dongle as well. The bikespeed rs has no cut out so it's down to gearing / cadence. Think i'll hit 40mph, as current gearing there's more to give.

Just in process of changing to a 20t up front x 11t rear cassette with bikespeedrs dongle. Will be interesting to see what kind of speed I get. Currently have a 18t upfront with 11t rear cassette and can get to about 33mph, but assist cuts out at this point, hopefully not with rs.
