I will be charging from home so I am wondering about the solar panel charging a leisure battery (12v 110ah) and then charging the bike from that. I can then use the bike during the day and charge it over night. Hopefully.

Thanks. Its a 48v 20ah battery. The battery does seem to have a specific connection that the AC charge connects to. This is why im wondering if they can be charged from the leads that go from the battery. On a normal battery that would be fine, but I don't know what's inside a LION battery...

Hi I have bought a second hand 48v battery which has a female 2 pin connector. I need a 2 pin male connector to connect to it but can't seem to find one. Does anyone know anywhere I could get one? A link would be great, thanks. See attached picture. Trevor

in any case I would get a different battery if needed. The kit is the priority.

Not sure I fully understand your question. A 48v battery at 250w is 5amps (roughly). Lets assume then that this is 5 continuous amps?

Just for clarity, I never came on here wanting to make an illegal moped, I think I made that quite clear when I mentioned DVLA, MOT's etc. I would not own or drive anything illegal not because I fear getting caught but because I don't like breaking the law as a matter of conscience.
