Replacing 18650 cells in a Dyson

Anyone know the configs for the battery pack?

Replacing 18650 cells in a Dyson

Sure I've read the VTC5 is only 30A if used with an 80 deg C cutoff circuit. Otherwise it's 20A. Might be wrong though.

Replacing 18650 cells in a Dyson

I would go with what d8veh mentioned and replace with Samsung 30Q's. You should get extra run time with those, and the Dysons aren't exactly renowned for their operating time.

    Battery leap on the horizon

Wouldn't that leave you with no testicles

    Highly Professional

Excellent. I didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression, as finding a decent UK based battery specialist, is like finding a needle in a haystack. I am impressed that they sent their own courier to collect your battery.

    Highly Professional

Could you clarify if this is a positive or negative comment please. On one hand it sounds like they mean, we'll look at it and it might be just a loose wire, so an easy fix at little cost to you. That's positive :) On the other, we can't be bothered to look at it properly. Not so positive

    Recommended 48v 12-20A battery

This one from Eclipse Bikes is well worth the money. Ok, so it's at the lower end of your capacity needs, but the Samsung 30Q cells are very very good. http://www.eclipsebikes.com/12ah-lithium-frame-battery-samsung-cells-p-1123.html Also, as Kuorider mentions, Jimmy is worth contacting too...

Great little car, but having an accident in one, will be like man and machine as one, literally

Home care jobs available in the North East

I'm posting this on behalf of the missus, who works as a care coordinator in Sunderland. There's plenty of work available for home care in the Sunderland and Washington areas. Full or part time. The company is Thorncliffe Home Care Ltd, and anyone interested can get the contact details from...

    Stolen Haibike Sduro Hardtail 27.5

Good stuff. Tossers probably thought it was too risky to sell on, and too complex to strip anything else off the bike. Time to treat yourself to a big fat bike lock ;)

BBS02 where to grease for service

Bafang BBSxx's aren't renowned for tight tolerances. If you open up the final drive side, you'll see what I mean. Plenty of gear slop in there. I've run my BBS02 with factory measly grease, and the much thicker stuff I've got packed in there now. Not a peep of difference performance wise, but...

    Protective wear for ebiking?

Soundwave doesn't seem to think so. He'll be along soon to show you his Halo suit :p I always wear long trousers, tops and cycling gloves. That's mainly to help protect from woodland foliage, rather than a fall. Also, it helps to prevent those nasty little ticks hitching a ride and having a...

What a great addition for a man shed :)

Sold for the price of a new low end Haibike. Even being brand new, I wonder if things will still need to be replaced, such as tyres and wiring, due to age. The battery certainly will :p

    offroad kit

Have to agree with Nealh. That bike is primarily a commuter, and just adding knobbly tyres and changing components will be sure to disappoint. You not fancy the likes of a Haibike, which will stand up to the rigours of the rough stuff far better? Do you already own that bike, or plan to buy?
