Has Giant manufactured their own crank drive system?

As this thread has been resurrected, I thought I would post this as it seems like a good deal for a full suspension bike: http://www.jejamescycles.com/giant-full-e-2-electric-bike-2016.html?gclid=CNernZ2BjdECFYaVGwodxM0Gsg

Will an ebike last a 3 hour shift?

Why not test it out before you start the job. You don't have to do it all in one go. 3 x 1hr rides will suffice, just don't charge the battery in between each one.

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

You just gotta love China's slack copyright laws :D

    Volt Pulse cut out overheating?

Always worth using some contact cleaner on a cotton bud to clean any battery terminals, every now and then. They can look clean, but even the smallest amount of surface oxidation will cause high resistance at the point of contact.

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Nope sorry, but it will be interesting to hear your experience with it, once you've got it up and running.

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

D8ve is totally right. I've seen many threads over on Endless Sphere, where owners have tried to shorten the 'power on' delay, but with no success. Admittedly it's the BBS01 and BBS02 series that the threads are on about. I do think that the extra lead that the current BBSHD's have, tap into a...

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

I'm kinda guessing that the BBSHD has the usual two connectors for the brake cut-offs, which have the same delay as a BBS02. But also the gear sensor connector, which has an instant cut-off and restart, but can use one brake cut-off instead of a gear sensor?

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Lovely, sounds like Bafang sorted out the ghastly BBS02 delay then. Thanks.

BBSHD brake cut-off power return delay?

Could someone with a BBSHD, please post if there is a delay to the motor powering up again, after activating a brake cut-off switch. If possible, a comparison to the BBS02 would be nice.

    Air compressor

I'm after an air compressor myself, just to dry off the bike like Eddie. All the ones mentioned are a little on the large size for storage, so I'm wondering if something like this one would cut the mustard, or would it be a bit lame in the air department? Workzone 1.1kW Portable Oil Free 8...

    Dealing with water and cables

I had the same scenario highlighted in your third picture, with my frame shark pack. The solution was to use a silicone sealant, as mentioned in a thread I posted. http://pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/technicqll-range-of-sealants-and-adhesives.26240/ I used the sealant after I replaced my BBS02...

Hub verses External gears for mid drive

What's the gear change like, under full BBSxx power, on the Alfine 8?

Hub verses External gears for mid drive

That's good news for the OP :)

Hub verses External gears for mid drive

As RobF says, both the BBS02 and BBSHD produce a massive amount of torque, which will not be kind to your Nexus hub. A BBS01 would probably be ok, but not the most exciting ride. Chainline issues can be (mostly) solved with an aftermarket offset chainring, although these are expensive. I...

    BBSHD PAS problem

Try running it without the brake cut-offs, throttle and gear sensor connected. If it works fine with that lot disconnected, then connect them one at a time, testing each one, to find out which one kills your power. Anderson connectors are a nightmare to get soldered and connected correctly. Any...

Technicqll range of sealants and adhesives

For anyone looking for a range of high quality, cost effective sealants and adhesives, then give Technicqll's products a go. Technicqll sealants and adhesives I have personally used their high temperature silicone sealant, to waterproof all the electrical cabling on my BBS02. I used the same...

Resistance of different chemicals on nylon gears

I was doing a little research, to find out if the polyurea/mineral oil based grease I use on my BBS02 final drive, would have any effect on the nylon gear. We all know that Chinese made products aren't made with the best tolerances, so it's likely any grease added to the final drive, will...

Replacing 18650 cells in a Dyson

Why not just buy a spare battery and charger, then you can swop over to the other one, when the power gets too low. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=dyson+v6+battery Ok, so these are not Dyson OEM, but you would get longer run time using both batteries, than actually recelling your...
